(TSXV:BRM) Biorem Technologies Inc. announces the appointment of Mr. Ed Corbett to the position of Chief Financial Officer of the corporation effective February 11, 2008.  He brings with him a diverse set of abilities appropriate for the stage of development of Biorem.  “We are pleased that Mr. Corbett is joining the company” said Peter Bruijns, President and CEO. “He will provide the necessary financial leadership as we continue to build the company’s systems to manage anticipated growth.”

Ed Corbett brings more than 15 years of senior financial and operational experience in Professional Services and technology-related companies to Biorem. Ed has over 10 years of experience specializing in business consulting and closed over $350 million of transactions through joint ventures, technology licensing and financings. Ed grounded his career at GE Canada as well as a major insurance company. Most recently, he served as Director of Finance, Customer Delivery for RightNow Technologies where he was responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and operations of the Professional Services group across North America, and Internationally. Previously, he was the financial officer and Secretary to the Board of Directors for Serco DES, a $600 million public-private partnership that operates the Ontario Ministry of Transportations’ driver examination services. Ed holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University and a CMA accounting designation.

Biorem is also pleased to provide a bookings update for January where over $800,000 of new orders were received, triple the average for the past two years.  This represents a good start to an ambitious year for the company and is a continuation of a strong and growing order book, particularly in light of the fact that January is typically a slow month for receipt of new orders.
