Position:    Project Manager

Location/Department: Operations      Facility Location:  Guelph, Ont


Scope

Responsible for the overall engineering and management of municipal and industrial projects from initial design and process development to final installation and commissioning

Essential Functions/ Area of Responsibility

  • Develop / generate system design, component selection, installation instructions, training manuals, engineering submittals / approvals and operation & maintenance manuals, all in compliance with contractual specifications and established company procedures.
  • Leads efforts to analyze current project operations and makes recommendations for improvement and coordinates the decision making process.
  • Facilitates information flow between team members, senior management and the client.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the project in terms of costs, methods and personnel required to complete project within time and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate design, drawings, purchasing, delivery, start-up, training performance testing and final hand over to the service department.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing product development and improvements.
    Provide cost support for Sales.
  • Responsible for coordinating on-site and remote aid during the installation process.
  • Prepare commissioning reports with regard to equipment installation and operation.
  • Regularly interacts with customers and senior management on matters concerning several functional areas.


Knowledge & Expertise

  • Requires a university/college degree or equivalent  in mechanical or chemical engineering disciplines.
  • Requires minimum of 3 years previous project management experience.
  • Knowledge of performance testing methods and equipment operation.
